Requesting a Science Cloud Account
The Science Cloud is available now for NASA-affiliated teams working on Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) Low projects, with FISMA Moderate capabilities in development.
Eligibility Requirements
Before requesting an account, please note the following:
- The Science Cloud is exclusively available to projects funded by NASA using NASA funds
- External funding from non-NASA entities is not accepted
- Funding must be formally obligated before any work can begin or cloud resources can be used

Accessing Your Science Cloud Accounts
Where Do I Log In?
The Science Cloud provides access to multiple cloud platforms to support your research needs. Depending on your project requirements, you may have access to AWS, Azure, or both platforms.
For AWS Projects:
Access your Amazon Web Services environment by navigating to https://aws.sciencecloud.nasa.gov. For detailed instructions on using AWS within the Science Cloud, including authentication procedures and best practices, please refer to our AWS account login procedure.
For Azure Projects:
Access your Microsoft Azure environment through the Science Cloud portal at https://portal.azure.com/sciencecloud.nasa.gov. This portal provides access to all your Azure resources and services configured for your projects.
